CHC 2012: Genes or environment?

When my brother and I were growing up, our father, Roger Fisher, cast a long shadow. He had come back from World War II convinced by the deaths of many of his best friends that there had to be better ways to solve disputes. He devoted his career to studying and practicing conflict resolution. Dinner table conversations were focused on how to reduce the risk of nuclear war or bring peace to the Middle East. We grew up knowing that it would be important to “make a difference” in our work.
