Creating a lifetime electronic health record
Delivery of a newborn is one of the top diagnoses for all hospital stays in the United States, with more than 4 million births a year. Several roles manage the maternity condition across ambulatory and acute care venues over an extended period of time. Currently, a broken medical record trail and redundant documentation dominate the management of maternity care, making it difficult for clinicians to provide a high level of care for mothers and their infants.
