Connecting to a State’s Health Department Through Immunization Registries

Two of our clients recently achieved a first in electronically connecting with their state's department of health (DOH). Using our Cerner Hub Immunization Registry solution, these organizations are submitting public health data to their state immunization registries and reaching meaningful use stage 2. Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center (CSV) was the first hospital to submit to the New Mexico DOH, and Wood County Hospital (WCH) was the first hospital to connect in real-time to the Ohio DOH. Both organizations are able to meet their interoperability goals around MU2, but they are also realizing benefits beyond this mandate.

Surgery is understandably stressful and often also confusing for young patients and families alike. Cedar Creek Living Center Receives Top Honors in McKnight’s Excellence In Technology Awards
